The Announcements feature, unlike Chat, is a one-way communication tool that allows you to send messages directly to parent's devices. For two-way communication, refer to this article about using the Chat feature.

This article walks through how to make an announcement from the Administrator Dashboard; for a how-to on Announcements through the Teacher App, refer to this article.

How to make an Announcement

On the Administrator Dashboard, navigate to the Bulletin Board page by selecting the "Bulletin Board" tab. On this page, you'll see all the announcements your center has made, by default organized from oldest to newest. Click on "Title," "Recipients," or "Date" to change how the announcements are sorted in the table. To create a new announcements, click the blue "New Message" button on the upper right of the page.

A Create new message pop-up will appear. First, select the recipient of the message: everyone, all staff, all guardians, or a specific classroom (both staff and guardians of that classroom included). You can only choose one class at a time.

Fill the rest of the fields as desired. The title field has a limit of 75 characters, but there is no minimum or maximum for the message. You can also upload one or more images, videos, or documents by clicking "Add attachment." When you're happy with your announcement, click "Save" to send the message and exit the pop-up.

You'll be returned to the Bulletin Board page with your new announcement listed in the table. You might have to click the "Date" column title to re-order the table from newest announcements to oldest in order to see your announcement. If you would like to view the content of the announcement, click the 3-dot menu on the far right of the announcement's row and click "View."
