Playground allows you to select two days per week to be paid out the balances collected from guardians into your bank account.

A note on processing

Credit card transactions made before 3pm process same-day and generally be available to pay out the same day they are made. ACH transactions take approximately 1-2 business days to process, and will be available in the next payout after the holding period. Our processor requires this wait period to verify the transaction is approved since ACH transactions can fail after they are submitted by the parent (insufficient funds, for example).

Optimizing payout speed

If you bill on a weekly cadence, you can optimize how quickly you get paid out by selecting the correct payout days. First, decide on the date that payments will be due each week. After you have your due date, select payout dates one and three business days after the due date. For example, if my weekly charges are due on Mondays, I will set my payout dates to be Monday and Wednesday. The Monday payout date allows for all credit card payments to be paid out since those are generally available in the same day. The Wednesday payout day allows for all ACH payments to process and clear before being paid out, and avoid Playground debiting any future payouts in case of a failed ACH. You are free to experiment with other payout days as well (for example, changing the Wednesday payout to Tuesday), but the availability of ACH transactions can vary based on a few factors, including the timing of ACH settlement from the bank your parent's use to pay as well as the timing of ACH settlement from your bank.
