Change or Update Company Payroll Details

Update your bank account, tax information, or company details

Payroll tax information may change throughout the year. Maybe you've opened a new bank account and need to change your payroll bank account. Payroll information can be updated by admins at any time from payroll settings.


Change Your Payroll Bank Account

🚨 Your company bank account cannot be changed if a payment is currently being processed.

  1. From your Admin Dashboard, navigate to Settings.

  2. From the Settings page, click the Payroll tab at the top of the page.

  3. Click the blue Edit Company Details button. The Confirm Authorization window will open. Enter your information and then click Continue.

  4. The payroll modal will open. From the left sidebar of the modal, click Payment Method.

  5. Click the white Change Bank Account button.

  6. Choose whether you would like to link with Plaid or provide account details.

  7. Once your bank account is updated, close the modal by clicking the X in the top right corner.


Change Your Company Payroll Tax Information

Tax rates and filing frequencies can change throughout the year. If you've received a notice from your tax agency that your tax information has changed, it is important to update this information in Playground as soon as possible.

🚨 Entering correct tax information in Playground is the responsibility of the employer. If your tax information is incorrect, tax penalties may occur.

  1. From your Admin Dashboard, navigate to Settings.

  2. From the Settings page, click the Payroll tab at the top of the page.

  3. Click the blue Edit Company Details button. The Confirm Authorization window will open. Enter your information and then click Continue.

  4. The payroll modal will open. From the left sidebar of the modal, click Tax Setup.

  5. Your federal and state taxes will be listed. Click Edit next to the tax type you would like to update.

  6. Update the tax information and then click Save.

  7. When you are done updating your tax information, close the modal by clicking the X in the top right corner.


Edit Employee Information

If you have an employee with a Blocked payroll status and the memo reads "missing company attributes," you must edit their employee information from your Payroll Settings. In many states, Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes are required. This is an example of a company attribute you need to add.

🚨 If there are no employee details required in your state, you will not see Employee Details as an option in the payroll modal.

  1. From your Admin Dashboard, navigate to Settings.

  2. From the Settings page, click the Payroll tab at the top of the page.

  3. Click the blue Edit Company Details button. The Confirm Authorization window will open. Enter your information and then click Continue.

  4. The payroll modal will open. From the left sidebar of the modal, click Employee Setup.

  5. If there are employees that require attention, they will be listed at the top of the page.

  6. Add the required employee information and then click Save.

  7. When you are done updating your employee information, close the modal by clicking the X in the top right corner.
