Set Up CACFP Integrations Across Locations

How to enable My Food Program for CACFP reporting across your enterprise locations

Written by Nadiuska

Playground integrates with a third-party CACFP reporting platform, My Food Program. As a Multi-Site Admin, you enable this integration from Enterprise Settings, then each center finalizes its own connection individually.

🚨 The enterprise-level integration setting turns the option on for all locations, but it does not automatically connect any center. Each center must complete its own connection in its individual settings before meal data will sync.

Enable the Integration at the Enterprise Level

Before any center can connect to My Food Program, you must enable the integration from your Enterprise Settings. This makes the integration option available to all your locations.

  1. From your enterprise dashboard, click Settings in the left sidebar.

  2. Navigate to the Integrations section.

  3. Locate My Food Program and toggle the integration on.

  4. Click Save.

πŸ’‘ You only need to do this once at the enterprise level. Once enabled, the integration option will appear in each center's settings for them to complete their own connection.

Connect Each Center Individually

Once the integration is enabled at the enterprise level, each center must finalize its own connection. This step must be completed within each individual center's settings. It cannot be done centrally for all locations at once.

  1. From your enterprise dashboard, click Centers in the left sidebar.

  2. Select the center you want to connect.

  3. Within that center, navigate to Settings β†’ Integrations.

  4. Click Connect next to My Food Program.

  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to authenticate and complete the connection for that center.

  6. Repeat this process for each location that uses CACFP reporting.

πŸ’‘ Once connected, meal data recorded in Playground will automatically sync to My Food Program for CACFP reporting. Make sure each center is recording meals consistently so the data stays accurate.

Verify the Integration is Working

After a center completes its connection, confirm data is syncing correctly before relying on it for CACFP submissions.

  1. Log a test meal record at the connected center.

  2. Log in to My Food Program and confirm the meal record appears.

  3. If data is not appearing, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration from within that center's settings.

πŸ’‘ If you're having trouble connecting a center, contact Playground support. Some integrations require an account setup step on the My Food Program side before the connection can be completed.

FAQ

Can I connect all my centers to My Food Program at once from the enterprise level?

No. You can enable the integration option for all locations from Enterprise Settings, but each center must complete its own connection individually in its own settings. There is no bulk-connect option.

Does enabling the integration at the enterprise level affect centers that don't use CACFP?

Enabling the integration at the enterprise level just makes the option available. It doesn't automatically connect or affect any center. Centers that don't complete the connection step will not be impacted.

Meal records are showing in Playground but not syncing to My Food Program. What should I do?

  1. Navigate to the center's Settings β†’ Integrations and check if the connection shows as active.

  2. If disconnected, click Connect and re-authenticate.

  3. If still not syncing, confirm your My Food Program account is active and that the site ID matches the connected center.

  4. Contact Playground support if the issue persists.
