If you ever want to save photos or videos from your student's Media Gallery, you can download them straight to your device. This guide walks you through how to download individual items as well as how to save multiple files at the same time. It only takes a few taps, and you can keep your favorite moments wherever you like.

Downloading Individual Photos and Videos

Downloading Individual Photos on the App

  1. Open the Playground app and go to the Feed.

  2. Tap the small down arrow next to All Posts.

  3. Choose Media Gallery from the list of options.

  4. Browse through your student's photos and tap the picture you want to save.

  5. Tap the download icon to save the photo directly to your device.

That’s it. The image will download to your phone’s photo library.

Downloading Individual Media on the Web

  1. Log in to your Playground account on the website.

  2. Click the Feed tab.

  3. On the far right, select Media Gallery.

  4. Click Select Media.

  5. Choose the photo or video you want to download.

  6. Click Download selected to save it to your device.

Your file will download right away and save to your computer.

Downloading Media in Bulk

Downloading Multiple Items

Bulk downloading is only available on the website. To get started:

  1. Log in to your Playground account on the website.

  2. Click the Feed tab.

  3. Select Media Gallery on the far right.

  4. Click Select Media.

  5. Choose the media you want by clicking them one by one. Once you have everything selected, click Download selected to save them to your device.

Downloading a Large Range

If you want to download a big group of photos, like several months or a full year, selecting them individually may be impractical. This method lets you select the first and last photo in a range, and the system will automatically include everything in between.

To select a large range:

  1. Click the first photo in the list.

  2. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and keep holding it the entire time.

  3. While still holding Shift, scroll down to the last photo you want.

  4. Click the last photo. This will highlight all photos from the first to the last.

  5. You can release the Shift key at this point.

  6. Once everything is highlighted, scroll back up and click Download Selected.

It’s generally easier to do this with a trackpad because it allows smoother scrolling while you keep the Shift key held down.
