In Playground, a debit is the charge that shows up on a student’s billing profile. Whether you’re billing for tuition, a one-time fee, or anything in between, creating a debit is how that amount gets added to the family’s account.

There are a few different ways to create a debit depending on where you’re working in the system. You can do it from the Billing Overview, the Transactions tab, the Statements tab, or directly from a student’s profile. All of these paths lead to the same result, a posted charge that appears on the family’s billing ledger and, if applicable, triggers payment reminders or autopay.

💡 Debits can only be created from the web platform. This feature is not available in the Playground app.

  2. Click the Create debits button in the top-right corner of the page.
