Some schools use Playground to offer extra programs like after-school care, camps, enrichment classes, and events that families can sign up for on their own. This article walks you through how to find a program, register your child, complete any paperwork, and check out.
🚨 Not every school offers programs in Playground. If you don't see a Programs tab in your account, or you're not sure how your school handles sign-ups, reach out to your school directly.
Before You Begin
Each school sets up its own programs, so the steps you see can look a little different from one program to the next. Here's what your school controls and how it can change your sign-up:
Categories | Schools may split up their available programs via category. This makes browsing a bit easier. |
Password | Some programs are password-protected. If so, you'll need a password from your school before you can view or register. This is not your Playground login password. |
Registration dates | Programs have a registration window. You can only register while it's open. |
Eligibility | Programs can be limited to a specific age range. |
Plans & pricing | A program may have one plan or several (for example, Full-time and Part-time). Plans can be a one-time price, a weekly or monthly price, or priced by how many days per week your child attends. |
Day selection | Some plans ask you to choose which days your child will attend. Others include a set schedule. |
Availability & waitlists | Programs have limited spots. When a program is full, you may be able to join a waitlist if your school has turned one on. |
Paperwork | Your school may ask you to fill out an application form and other documents, either during sign-up or after. |
Fees & discounts | Some programs add fees, like a registration fee, at checkout. Some schools also offer discount codes or an automatic sibling discount. |
💡 If you don't see one of these steps during sign-up, your school may not have set it up for that program.
Locate a Program
You can find programs from your Playground account or from a link your school sends you. Your school may also have programs listed on their website. Reach out to them directly to confirm.
From the web version of your Playground account, click Programs in the left menu, then click Discover.
If your school sent you a program link, open it and sign in to your Playground account to land on the same page.
Browse the available programs. Use the category tabs (if any) at the top to narrow the list, or search by name.
Use the Sort by, Age, Day, and Season filters to find programs that fit your schedule.
Review the details on each program card:
Price: the cost of the program's plan(s).
Registration status: shows Register before [date] when registration is open, or Registration closed when it isn't.
Sessions: the days and times the program runs.
Dates: when the program starts and ends.
Eligibility: the age range the program is for.
Availability: shows No availability when the program is full.
Click View on the program you want to learn more about.
📱 If you're on the Mobile App, tap the menu option, then tap Programs. From there, every step in this article is the same.
Register for a Program
Click View on a specific program when you are ready to sign up. If your school password-protected the program, a Password protected window opens after you click View.
Enter the password your school gave you.
Click Submit.
🚨 The program password is set by your school, not by Playground, and it's different from the password you use to sign in. Resetting your Playground password won't unlock the program. If you don't have the program password or are running into issues, reach out to your school. Passwords are case-sensitive.
Choose a Plan
The Book Program window shows the program's details, description, and available plans.
Review the program details at the top: Sessions, Dates, Eligibility, and Registration dates.
Click the Closed days tab to see any days the program won't meet, like holidays.
On the Plans tab, compare the plans offered:
Click Show details under a plan to read what it includes.
Click Full pricing details to see the full price breakdown. For example, a part-time plan might cost $100 for 1 day per week, $150 for 2 days per week, and so on.
Check the availability under each plan. Some plans show spots left per day (for example, Mon: 50 available).
Click Register next to the plan you want.
💡 If the Register button is greyed out, the plan is full or registration isn't open. If your school offers a waitlist for the program, you'll be able to add your order to the waitlist instead.
Select Your Student & Add to Cart
Check the box next to each child you want to register. Each child shows their age at the program's start date.
If your child isn't listed, click Add student and enter their first name, last name, and date of birth, then click Add student.
Fill in any additional details the plan asks for. Depending on the plan, you may see:
Days of the week: click each day your child will attend. Selected days change to Selected.
Start date: choose when your child will begin if listed. The price may be prorated based on your start date.
Click Add to cart.
Click Proceed to checkout to continue, or click Keep shopping to add more programs to your cart first.
💡 You can register more than one child for the same program at once, or add several programs to your cart and check out together. To start over, click Clear cart at the top of the Discover page.
Complete Paperwork
Next, you'll land on the Paperwork page. What you see here depends on what your school requires.
Review the Application form.
Answer any additional questions your school added. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.
Complete any documents your school requires during sign-up, like forms or fillable PDFs.
Click Continue to payment.
💡 Need to step away? Click Save and exit in the top left to come back later.
Check Out
On the Checkout page, review Your cart. Each item shows the child, program, plan, selected days, price, and program dates.
To remove an item, click the red trash can icon next to it.
Under Payment method, choose a saved payment method or add a new card. A new payment method is saved to your account and becomes your default payment method.
If you have a discount code, click Add discount in the Summary section, enter the code, and click Apply.
Review the Summary. It lists each plan, any fees or discounts, and the Due now total.
Click Pay to complete your order.
💡 Only one discount can be used per order. If your school offers a sibling discount, it applies automatically when you register two or more siblings in the same cart, so there's no code to enter.
After You Register
Once your payment goes through, you'll see an Order confirmed! message. From here, click Keep shopping to sign up for more programs, or click View order details to see your order.
View Your Orders
From your Playground account, click Programs, then click Orders.
Find the order you want to review. Each row shows the Date, Item(s), Student(s), Discount, and amount Paid at checkout.
Click the three dots next to the order and select View to open the Order Summary, which shows the payment method used, each child's program and days, and what you've paid.
📱 If you're on the Mobile App, tap the menu option, then tap Programs to find your orders.
💡 If your school requires more paperwork after you register, you'll find it in the Paperwork tab of your account. Recurring program charges (like weekly or monthly plans) appear in your Billing tab as they're posted.

Make sure you're on Programs > Discover and the All programs tab is selected. Clear any search or filters.
If you have children at more than one school, make sure you're viewing the right school. Programs only appear for the school that offers them.
Ask your school for a direct link to the program. If your child is linked to the wrong school in Playground, your school will need to update that for you.

Double-check the code for typos and extra spaces.
Only one discount can be used per order. If a sibling discount already applied automatically, you can't add another code.
Your school may have set limits on the code, like an expiration date, a minimum cart total, a limited number of uses, new families only, or specific programs or seasons.
If you think the code should work, contact your school to confirm the details.
