In order to take, upload, or save photos and videos from the Playground app, you'll need to give Playground permission to access your device's camera and photo album. You can do this from your device's settings.

For iOS

  1. Navigate to your device's settings and scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen, where your downloaded apps are listed alphabetically.

  2. Find Playground and tap it to access the Playground Settings screen.

  3. Across from Camera, toggle the switch on to allow Playground to access your camera.

  4. Then, tap Photos to open the Photos Permission Settings screen.

  5. Tap Read and Write to allow Playground to upload from and save photos to your photo album.

The screenshot on the far right demonstrates what fully enabled camera and photo settings look like.

For Android

  1. Navigate to your device's settings and scroll to the Apps tile on the Settings screen.

  2. Tap the Playground tile to navigate to the Playground Settings page.

  3. Tap on the Permissions tile to open the Playground App Permissions screen.

  4. Tap on Camera to reach the Playground Camera Permission screen.

  5. Tap Allow to toggle the setting on.

  6. Tap the back arrow on the upper left of the screen to return to the App Permissions screen.

  7. Tap Storage to reach the Playground Storage Permission screen.

  8. Tap Allow to toggle the setting on.

  9. Tap the back arrow on the upper left of the screen to return to the App Permissions screen.

💡 The App Permissions screen should now show Camera and Storage under the Allowed section.
