What is available to staff members on desktop as opposed to the mobile application

Staff accounts

Playground has both a mobile application and a desktop version accessible via a browser. You will have different functionality on each so we will be diving into what each offers.

Staff accounts on desktop

On desktop, staff will have access to:

  • Profile - your profile where you can add and edit any personal information

  • Feed - a social media-style forum where you can see updates from your center or that you post for your students

  • Chat - start chats directly on Playground with other guardians, teachers, and administrators

  • Paperwork - any files that have been assigned to your student to complete

  • Lessons - view lesson plans created for your classes

Staff accounts on mobile

On mobile, staff will have access to:

  • Chat (1) - start chats directly on Playground with other guardians, teachers, and administrators

  • Clock in/out (2) - clock in and out by scanning the center's QR code

  • Kiosk mode (3) - check student's in with your center's QR code or PIN code

  • Roster (4) - view the student's in your center and classroom

  • Post and Feed (5) - a social media-style forum where you can record and see updates for the students in your class

  • Additional navigation menu (6) - houses additional features

    • My Profile - view your profile information

    • Programs - view the current programs for your center and the students enrolled in them

    • Lessons - created lesson plans for your classroom

    • Calendar - view the center's calendar

    • Kiosk - same as (3) above

    • Carpools - view carpools created by guardians

    • Settings - account settings, languages, and support access
