If your school uses Playground as its payroll provider, this article will guide you through adding your personal details, updating payment and tax withholding information, editing payroll settings, and splitting your paycheck.
Enroll in Payroll
Log in to your Playground account on a computer.
Navigate to the Payroll tab on the left sidebar and then click My Dashboard.
Click the blue get started button and enter your home address. Be sure to select your state from the dropdown.
The enrollment window will open. Click the blue Get Started button.
Navigate through the three tabs on the left (personal info, payment method, tax withholding) to complete all required information.
Personal Info: Enter your legal name, date of birth, social security number, and home address.
At the bottom of the page, select whether you wish to receive paperless (digital) W2s.
Payment method: Select your payment method.
If selecting direct deposit:
Authorize Playground (Check) to electronically deposit paychecks into your account.
Connect your bank account by entering your account and routing number or connect your bank account via Plaid.
If selecting cash or check:
Confirm that your employer has agreed to pay you directly by cash or paper check.

Tax withholding: Complete a Federal W-4 and any required state forms.
Your payroll setup is complete! Click the X in the upper right corner of the enrollment window to return to Playground.
You can edit the submitted information at any time by selecting edit information in the top right corner of your Payroll screen.
Edit Payroll Information
Log into your Playground account on a computer.
Navigate to the Payroll tab on the left sidebar.
On the Payroll dashboard, click Edit Information in the top right corner of your Payroll screen.
Browse through the tabs on the left, including personal info, payment method, and tax withholding, to make any required updates. For instructions for each tab, please reference the enrollment above.
Your payroll changes are completed. Click on the X on the upper right-hand corner of the enrollment window to return to the playground dashboard.
Split Paycheck
Playground lets you divide your paycheck across multiple accounts by choosing either specific amounts or percentages for each account.
💡 You can add up to 7 bank accounts for split pay.
Percentage Based Split Pay
Enter the desired percentage for each account, then click Save Split Pay to confirm your changes.
🚨The account selected as priority 1 will received the percentage you enter. And priority two will receive the remaining percentage. Drag and drop the accounts in order to change priority.
Amount Based Split Pay
Enter the desired dollar amount for each account, then click Save Split Pay to confirm your changes.
🚨 If the paycheck is smaller than the amount set for the priority one account, the entire paycheck will be deposited into that account.

If the Payroll tab is not visible, confirm with your administrator to see if you have been enrolled in Payroll yet. If you aren't enrolled, the Payroll section will not appear in your account.
