Filling out paperwork can sometimes present challenges, such as text shrinking or restrictions on re-submissions. This article outlines solutions for resolving these issues based on common scenarios experienced by other guardians.

Fix Document Upload Errors

Ensure your PDF meets our upload requirements.

If you receive an error when uploading a document, it likely means the file doesn't meet our size and orientation requirements. Documents must be vertical (portrait) and exactly 8.5 x 11 inches (standard letter size).

Important: Our fillable PDF parameters are very specific, even if dimensions are off by a small amount, the upload will fail.

Fix Your PDF Format

We recommend using PDF2Go to resize your document:

  1. Upload your PDF

  2. Set the page size to exactly 8.5 x 11 inches

  3. Ensure the orientation is portrait/vertical

  4. Download the resized file

  5. Upload to Playground

Alternative: You can also use Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview (Mac), or any PDF editor to adjust the dimensions and orientation.

Resolving Text Shrinking or Enclosure Issues

If you notice that the text you input into a PDF form shrinks or becomes enclosed, this might be due to device compatibility issues. To resolve this:

  1. Switch to a Desktop or Laptop: These devices are better optimized for filling out PDF forms compared to mobile devices. Attempt to complete the form on a desktop or laptop and check if the issue persists.

  2. Ensure Software Compatibility: Use a reliable PDF viewer or editor that supports form-filling. Applications like Adobe Acrobat Reader are generally effective for this purpose.

Addressing Form Submission Restriction Issues

You might encounter restrictions when trying to re-submit a paperwork file. This could occur if the organization managing the file has limited submissions to one per user. Follow these steps to confirm:

  1. Contact the Relevant Administrative Entity: Reach out to the organization responsible for the form (e.g., your school, employer, or service provider). They may have restricted multiple submissions for operational reasons, and contacting them is often the quickest way to resolve the issue.

  2. Check for Contact Information: Look for contact details on the organization’s official website or within the form instructions. They typically provide guidance for users experiencing issues.

  3. Request Resubmission Access: Explain your situation and request the possibility to resubmit or access the file again. Follow their guidance to ensure compliance with their policies.

By following these steps, you can address common problems related to file completion and submission restrictions efficiently.
