Managing payroll in Playground can occasionally present challenges, such as issues with employee enrollment, accessing the payroll dashboard, sending invites, or viewing pay stubs. This article provides a comprehensive guide to resolving these common issues.

Issues with Employee Enrollment

If a newly added employee cannot access payroll:

Confirm Payroll Enrollment

Ensure the employee has been enrolled in payroll. If an employee isn't currently enrolled in payroll, they will have a payroll status of "None".

💡 If you can't view the Payroll Status column under your My School -> Staff tab, you can add it by clicking the gear/cogwheel (⚙️) icon. From there, click the eyelash icon next to Payroll Status to add it as a table header.

Employees who were not added to payroll during their initial setup will need to be enrolled before they can access payroll. Click here for more info on enrolling staff.

After enrolling them, a payroll reminder link can be sent by following the instructions below.

Resend Payroll Link

  1. Navigate to your My School -> Staff tab

  2. Locate the staff member you just enrolled in payroll and click the three dots next to their name.

  3. After clicking the three dots, select Send payroll reminder

Issues Accessing Paystubs

If you cannot view pay stubs:

Double-Check Your Account

Ensure you are logged into the correct account. If you or a staff member has multiple accounts, you may need to switch to the appropriate staff account to view paystubs. This article will walk you through switching between accounts.

Use a Computer

Some payroll features, such as viewing pay stubs and tax information in the Payroll tab, are easier to access on a computer rather than a mobile device.

Issues Running Payroll

If you are unable to run payroll:

Retry Failed Payrolls

Failed payrolls must be resolved before you can run a new payroll. Click here for more information on how to resolve a failed payroll.

💡 If you have already retried payroll via ACH, please note that ACH payments can take up to 3 business days to fully process.
