How to link, switch between, & manage multiple Playground accounts

Link Additional Playground Accounts

Linking Playground accounts allows users to use a single sign-on (username and password) to log in to all of their Playground accounts. Below are a few example scenarios where a user may have multiple Playground accounts:

  • A user is both a parent and teacher at the same center

  • A user is a parent at two or more centers that use Playground

  • A user is a parent of two or more families at the same center

  • A user is a teacher at one center and a parent at another center using Playground

  • A user is a teacher at two or more centers that use Playground

🚨 The exact same email address must be utilized across all accounts in order for the link accounts to work.

  1. Have the Administrator at the center add the user to all of their roles (ie. teacher, guardian, etc).
    ​

  2. The user should use the steps above to set-up the initial Playground account with a password.
    ​

  3. For all subsequent accounts, the user will receive an email to create an account for all additional accounts.
    ​

  4. Open the email and click the blue Create Account button.
    ​

  5. The user will be asked to enter their name to link to the existing Playground account.
    ​

  6. Once their name is entered, click Link Account, as seen below.


Switch Accounts

Toggle between your multiple Playground accounts with a couple of taps without having to log out and back in multiple times.

  1. Open the Playground mobile app.
    ​

  2. If your accounts share the same email

    1. Make sure you have followed the steps above to link all accounts

    2. Sign in using the email and password you've created
      ​

  3. If your accounts have different emails and passwords:

    1. Make sure both accounts have been created via the emails sent to you.

    2. Log in to the first account.

    3. Log out by opening the menu in the top left corner > Settings > Sign out.

    4. Log in to the second email account.
      ​

  4. Click the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
    ​

  5. Tap "Switch Account" to open the Switch Account menu.
    ​

  6. Select the user you'd like to switch to, and the app will switch to the correct one.

Switch Accounts on Web

  1. Click your name in the top right corner of the screen to open the drop-down menu.
    ​

  2. Click Switch Accounts.
    ​

  3. The Switch Account screen will open to show your additional linked accounts.
    ​

  4. Select the account you'd like to switch to, and the new dashboard will open.


Delete a saved account from your app

  1. Open the Playground mobile app.
    ​

  2. If signed in, tap the three lines in the top left corner to open the menu.
    ​

  3. Tap Settings and scroll to the bottom to Sign out.
    ​

  4. Once signed out, tap Sign in using a saved login to open all of your login emails.

  5. Long press the email you'd like to remove.
    ​

  6. The Confirm removal window will appear.
    ​

  7. Tap Confirm.
