Statements provide a summary view of all billing activity that has taken place in a given statement period. Statements are generated as a PDF and are linked from the Student Account on Playground's web or mobile app.
The last page of the statements can be used for tax purposes. Primary guardians on the account can generate their own statements for any period at any time from the mobile app or web dashboard using these instructions.
The article below outlines how to generate statements and how to read the statement.
Generate a Statement
You can generate a statement to see what families see. You can also regenerate a statement and send it directly to a family. Statements will be generated per family, meaning all siblings will be included on one statement, or with however many siblings selected.
To generate a statement:
From the Students tab of the Admin Dashboard, click on the student for whom you want to generate a statement.
Navigate to their Payments tab and scroll down to the Statements section.
Click Generate Statement.
Next, specify the date range of the statement. You can either select All time or specify the Date range of the period.
If you'd like to send the statement to the primary guardians, select the checkbox to the left of Notify Primary Guardians of This Statement.
If selected you can optionally add a message in the email to the Guardians
When ready, click Generate.
A line item will appear in the Statements section with the new statement that was generated. Click View to download a PDF of the statement.
Your provider's Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) should be visible on the top right of each page of the statement. If the statement does not have a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), follow this guide on how to add taxpayer identification number.
Read a Statement
When a provider adds a student to their billing platform, they will determine the child's billing frequency. This interval dictates the frequency in which a new statement will be displayed on the student’s account. This also determines the due date and overall billing cadence.
