Families can receive important updates and reminders from Playground directly on their devices.

Types of Notifications You Can Receive

  • Attendance Updates – When your child is signed in or out.

  • Messages & Updates – New messages from your child’s provider, reminders, or announcements.

  • Meal Details – Daily meal logs, including notes about changes.

  • Forms & Paperwork Requests – Alerts when your provider sends new forms or requires documents.

  • Billing & Payment Reminders – Upcoming charges, invoices, and receipts.


How to Customize Your Notifications

On Android:

  • Open the Playground Guardian App.

  • Tap your Menu (=) icon.

  • Select Settings > Notifications

  • Toggle each type of alert on or off based on your preferences.

  • Ensure Playground notifications are allowed in your Android Apps>Playground> Notifications menu.

On iPhone:

  • Open the Playground Guardian App.

  • Tap your Menu (=) icon.

  • Select Settings > Notifications

  • Toggle each type of alert on or off based on your preferences.

Ensure Playground notifications are allowed in your iPhone’s Settings> Notifications menu.


Tips to Avoid Missing Alerts

  • Keep the Playground app updated to the latest version.

  • If you use Do Not Disturb, add Playground as an allowed app for exceptions.

  • Make sure your phone’s Battery Optimization settings don’t limit background activity for Playground.

  • Not receiving alerts? Log out and log back in to refresh your connection.

  • If you still have issues, contact Playground Support or your chilldcare provider’s admin
