Link, Switch, & Manage Multiple Playground Accounts for Teachers

How to link and switch between multiple Playground accounts if you hold more than one role

If you have more than one Playground account, for example, if you teach at multiple centers or you are both a teacher and a guardian, you can link your accounts under a single login so switching between them only takes a tap. This guide walks through how to get set up and how to manage your accounts from the app or web.


Link Additional Playground Accounts

Linking your Playground accounts lets you use a single email and password to access all of them. Here are the most common reasons a teacher might have more than one account:

  • You teach at two or more centers that use Playground

  • You are also a guardian at the same center or at another center that uses Playground

The account linking process is initiated by your admin. Here is what to expect:

  1. Ask your admin to add you to all of your roles in Playground using the same email address across all accounts.

  2. Once your accounts have been added, your admin will send you a sign-up link for each new account. Even if an account already exists, your admin can still send a new sign-up link to start the linking process.

  3. Open the email and click the blue Create Account button.

  4. Enter your Password to link the new account to your existing Playground account.

  5. Click Confirm and Link Account.

If your accounts share the same email

  1. Open the Playground mobile app.

    1. Make sure you have followed the steps above to link all accounts

    2. Sign in using the email and password you've created

  2. Click the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.

  3. Tap "Switch Account" to open the Switch Account menu.



  4. Select the user you'd like to switch to, and the app will switch to the correct one.


If your accounts have different emails and passwords:

  1. Make sure both accounts have been created via the emails sent to you.

  2. Log in to the first account.

  3. Log out by tapping the three lines in the top left corner to open the menu in the top left corner > Settings > Sign out.

  4. Log in to the second email account.

Switch Accounts on Web

  1. Click your name in the top right corner of the screen to open the drop-down menu.

  2. Click Switch Accounts.


  3. The Switch Account screen will open to show your additional linked accounts.


  4. Select the account you'd like to switch to, and the new dashboard will open.

  1. Open the Playground mobile app.

  2. If signed in, tap the three lines in the top left corner to open the menu.

  3. Tap Settings and scroll to the bottom to Sign out.

  4. Once signed out, tap Sign in using a saved login to open all of your login emails.

  5. Long press the email you'd like to remove.

  6. The Confirm removal window will appear.

  7. Tap Confirm.



FAQ

Here are answers to the most common account questions from teachers.

Why would I have more than one Playground account?


The most common reason is teaching at more than one center that uses Playground. You could also have a second account if you are also a guardian at a center. Each role at each center creates a separate account, but linking them lets you access all of them with one login.


What if my accounts were set up with different email addresses?


Accounts can only be linked if they share the exact same email address. If your accounts use different emails, you will need to sign in and out of each one separately. Talk to your admin if you need to update the email on an account.

Do I need to contact my admin every time I want to switch accounts?


No. Once your accounts are linked, you can switch between them on your own any time from the app or web. You only need your admin's help during the initial setup.


Can my accounts be linked after they have already been created?

Yes. Your admin can send a new sign-up link even if both accounts already exist. Just follow the same steps to click Link Account when prompted.

What if I can't use the Switch Account option in the app?

The Switch Account option only works if you have linked accounts. If you do not see it, reach out to your admin to confirm that the sign-up link was sent to the correct email and that you completed the linking step for each account.
