How to mark one or more students as absent

Tap the "Student Roster" icon at the top of the Home Screen to reach the Student Directory. Find and select the student you'd like to mark absent and click on their name to open the student's profile. To find a student, you can scroll through the full directory, search by name using the search bar at the top of the screen, or tap the "Classroom" button to filter the directory by classroom. Tap the three dots to the right of "Check-In" or "Check-Out". Click "Mark absence" in this menu.

The New Post screen will appear with the Post type listed as "Absence". You can edit the "Starts" date and time and add an "Ends" date and time for the student's absence. Next you will be asked for a reason for the student's absence. Click on the "Select absence reason" blue text to open the Absence Reason menu. Select from "Illness", "Vacation", or "Other". In the additional notes field, you can add more detail to the reason for absence. You can add a photo or video to the post, such as a doctor's note, by tapping on the icons in the bottom left corner of the screen. When you're happy with your absence record, tap "Post" in the upper right corner of the screen. You'll be returned to the Home screen with the absence listed at the top of the feed.
