Every Enterprise Admin role in Playground is built from a set of permission categories — like Payments, Students, or Reports — and each category is made up of individual actions you can turn on or off. This article breaks down every category and what each action inside it actually controls.
General Information
Categories can be toggled entirely. Each category (like Payments or Staff) has its own on/off switch. Turning a category off hides every permission inside it for that role.
Individual permissions can have View and/or Edit toggles. View grants read-only access, while Edit grants the ability to create, modify, or remove records (Edit access always includes the ability to view).
Permissions apply per role, not per person. You can build as many custom roles as you need (for example, "Billing Admin" or "Program Specialist") and mix and match these permissions for each one. Any change you make to a role updates every staff member currently assigned to it.
To edit a role's permissions, go to Settings > Roles, click the three dots next to a role, and select Edit.
Payments
Controls access to guardian payment transactions, subsidy management, and center payouts.

View payments | Read-only access to guardian payment transactions and payment methods |
Create payments | Ability to create new guardian payment transactions, charges, invoices, and payment methods |
Edit payments | Ability to edit existing guardian payment transactions, charges, invoices, and payment methods |
Delete payments | Ability to delete guardian payment transactions, charges, invoices, and payment methods |
Manage subsidies | Subsidy agencies and deposits |
View payouts | Read-only access to payouts made to the center bank account |
Students
Controls access to student records, profile details, attendance, and health information.
Permission | What it does |
View all students | Overrides student visibility restrictions, providing access to all student records regardless of settings |
Student settings | Individual student settings on their profile |
Student information | Student profile information such as birthday, address, and custom fields |
Student attendance | Student attendance records, including modification after initial recording. Does not affect the ability for staff to sign students in and out |
Create & edit students | Creation and editing of student records on the admin dashboard |
Immunizations | Read-only access to student immunization records on the student profile |
Assessments | Student assessment information via the admin dashboard |
Enrollment
Controls access to enrollment listings and student applications.

Staff

Scheduling
Controls access to the calendar, student schedules, and staff schedules.

Door Locks
Controls access to remote door locking and unlocking via the mobile app.

Controls access to lead management, marketing, meetings, and CRM reporting.
